
Violence erupted Saturday at a local auto race in Ensenada, Mexico, leaving 11 dead and seven injured, according to local reports .
The violence was reportedly the result of a gang clash that stemmed from control of local smuggling routes into the United StatesBaja California, located immediately south of the US border, is a prime location for cartel violence as groups fight for control of key trade routes .
In a video posted to Twitter by Mexican journalist Alfredo Alvarez, an armed commando gunned down attendees at a local auto race in Ensenada, Baja California.
The video shows several men firing guns and shooting at cars.On the images you can hear how automatic weapons fire is being fired non-stop.
The massacre reportedly left eleven dead and seven injured.Witnesses of the violence can be seen running across the street to hide from the danger.
